Rinsing the filters is worth doing, but it is not a substitute for professional service. Dust and biological growth build up on the blower wheel and evaporator coil where filters cannot protect them, and that buildup reduces airflow and output. Salt air and humidity are hard on outdoor equipment here, so keeping the coil clean and the charge correct matters even more.
